Spike told me if I was ever in her town to call her, so I did. She came and picked me up and we went to her house for the evening. I got to meet her husband and daughter and of course Pepper her pug. We had challah and a tomato sauce, fried rice, and some other things as well. She was also kind enough to have some cupcakes for me!We talked a lot about Judaism, jewish life, 9/11 and a few other things. She was also very generous and gave me some books about judaism to read, which I'm going to start reading tonight. I had a really great time and I'm looking forward to seeing her and her family again. And as an added bonus, I'm still alive!

I'll have you all know that guardian is a kind, gentle, intelligent, totally witty, very good-looking (despite how he paints himself here), impressive young man, sincere in his desire for knowledge. One of a kind in this day and age. He's the father of 3 beautiful little boys (with capital "B's") and, obviously, married to a strong woman who can put up with his bs .. I heard a lot of contentedness in stories about his home life. All in all, it was a great time and he got his own stash of pink and green mini-cupcakes to take on the road with him.
(And he didn't even mention our recurring topic on conversation, namely, Dog Flatulence We Have Experienced .. with Ms Pepper right there sitting on the ac vent. If you don't have a dog, you just don't know. Welcome to our mutually crazy world. LOL)

Spike, I dont buy that 'very good-looking' bit. We've all seen his videos y'know.
But otherwise, its good to hear of both of you from the other. What is challah ?

He is nice looking despite the videos. LOL Challah is a delicious braided Jewish bread we eat for Shabbot. I bake my own which takes several hours. Can't use a bread machine either.

I'm not a big fan of the bread machine; my parents own one and it has turned out to be like a Fondu set; something acquired but very rarely used.
Mind you my main focus would be perfecting Ciabatta bread because I love it so much

You're how old?
No regrets when the future is before you.
No regrets when the future is before you.
I'm 29 years old - maybe I'll take a night class one of these days; then again I like experimenting at home
