An Introduction By Dx

Greetings, IslamFactor.
I'm dx, and I am only here to learn more about the Muslim community. I have been reading the Qu'ran (a translation, which seems to be the wrong way to read it?), and I have been interested in the religion for a long time now. I have lived nearly 10 years as an atheist, and am feeling a void now that my daughter is born. I hope that I will be well-accepted by this community, as I hope to learn much off of all of you.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
DX.

Welcome to the site, and congratulations on the birth of your daughter!
As for the void, I pray that you will find Him.

Welcome. (Suggestion: this new 'void' you experience may just be the addition to your life of parental instinct. That doesn't mean your prior beliefs need changing, IMO. But investigation is a good thing.)

Welcome to the forum DX.
I don't think that reading a translation of the Quran is the wrong thing to do (as i am guessing you don't speak Arabic...and neither do I). But there is good and not so good translations i guess...which one did you read?
Looking forward to discussions...

Thank you, she is a wonderful gift and I hope that I find Him as well.

Perhaps it could just be due to parental instinct, but still - like you said, investigation is a good thing. Part of me hopes that I've finally found something to believe in - part of me thinks I want to find something to believe in - so, I am investigating every avenue I can possibly find.
