Stemming from another question on the forum about the Culture in the Quran I was wondering if people get the sense, when reading the NT, that Jesus codified (made permanent for all time and all people in all places) anything that was specific to the culture of the TIME and/or REGION in which he lived.

It seems to me that the lack of focus and attention on things like dress codes, tribal customs, language, societal roles and local politics with regard to what Jesus chose to teach as The Word, and how none of his personal mannerisms were given for us to emulate (how he ate his food, his personal hygiene, his personal relationships with his family, etc) make it much less entwined with cultural practices and more a presentation of universal topics of importance that would indeed transcend time and be significant to all people in all places, long after humanity moved on from the world view he lived in.

Since we do evolve, how well does Jesus Word stand up to the test of time, in that it allows any and every culture to accept it, has nothing in it that 'was normal for that time' that we would later come to reject from a moral standpoint as we progressed later, we being 'humanity'?

What is a part of Jesus Word that is a block for the reason that it no longer would be acceptable in 'our modern time', if any?

Is it easy to apply Jesus Word today in a world that has changed so very very much since he walked the earth?

Oh yes MagnaCarta ....... quite simple.

Jesus gave great teaching... render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's.

Everything not of God is subject to change .... everthing of God is changless.
