Cool. I wasn't sure that Michael Jackson had really converted, or if it was just a rumor. Masha'Allah, that's awesome for him. It's funny how they list people like Salman, who lived back in the days of the Prophet (saws), and then also put in basketball players and all haha.

Wow. Outstanding list.

Although, I am weary of the Jacksons as their history includes NOI activity. the NOI (Nation of Islam) are not Muslims. its hard to tell whether they converted to Islam proper (like malcom X did when he left the Nation of Islam) or if they simply joined the NOI.

I was going to note the same thing about Malcolm X. Many African American Muslims were drawn to the Nation of Islam because of Malcolm X, and are not that aware of the distinctions between this and the Islam that you follow. I don't know that his conversion led them to make the same change.

I think by now, many people are aware that the NOI and Sunni Islam are separate. Many NOI Masjids have now become Sunni, Masha'Allah. It's hard to ignore Warith Deen Muhammed. I think anyone would begin to read about him if they read enough into the history of the NOI.

The NOI now accepts whites so Mike is ok. JimC, Mike only had NOI members has body guards, but he reverted recently to Sunni Islam as his brother Jermain Jackson.

Alhamdulilah for W. D. Muhammad. He had a very tough job of turning the NOI to Sunni Islam. I'm witness though. They still need alot of work, but I give them full credit for trying their best.
