Adnan Oktar's (Harun Yahya) more than 250 works translated into 54 languages to date, and the articles, CDs, web sites, radio and television programs, documentary films, interactive presentations, audio tapes and conferences based on these works are leading people all over the world to faith and are causing those who already believe to bind themselves together with even greater enthusiasm.

I wouldn't trust anything written by Harun Yahya. I read his ' Atlas of Creation' (as much as I could take anyway) and it was an absolute joke. Believe what you want about Evolution overall but this book's full of basic scientific errors, is poorly written, plagiarises photos and even contains pictures of several species which are actually fishing lures (the original photographer is rather annoyed that they've been used). Most of the paragraphs seem to consist of 'this animal looks like this animal, therefore evolution is completely disproved', which is ridiculous coming from someone who claims to have a scientific perspective. If you want to read about religion there are better authors out there, don't encourage this guy.

You nailed it.

The fact that I know so many people who are so easily fooled by him makes me very sad, actually.

Basically according to scientific perspective, actually theory of evolution itself is based on similarities between various animalsm so i think your objection is invalid.

If that's your opinion then you either haven't read the Atlas of Creation or researched evolution, they're comparatively as different as chalk and cheese. Evolution is actually based on Natural Selection before 'looking at similarities between animals', and even then there's a lot more to it than the pseudo-science implimented by Harun Yahya. The theory draws on a wide range of mechanisms which aren't just based on the fossil record such as Speciation, Adaptation and Genetic Drift, all of which have been proven and observed.
