Requirements in content of article:

• Should contain commonly accepted Quran or Hadith sources. May quote from scholars or other Islamic community leaders.
• Should contain mostly your thoughts and words, not pieced together bits or cut and pasted from other articles. You are the sole author.
• Article must not be previously posted on any other website in any form. It must be totally original and not posted on any other site until after it is accepted and posted on Islamfactor.
• Should conform to the understanding that all groups of people that profess the Kalimah (Shahaddah), without alteration (addition or subtraction), are in fact Muslims and part of a unified Ummah regardless of sect. (Clarification here)
• Should contain references to the needs for unity among Muslims as well as among humanity (to include Muslims and non-Muslims). Muslims are the focus but the scope of article is not limited to Muslim unity.
• Should contain methods of how to unify the community and promote tolerance on an individual and community level. This maybe be done by giving us instruction and examples of how to deal with situations people commonly face, etc.
• At the end of the article it should contain your "pen name" and date, does not have to be your real name.

All articles will be reviewed by the moderation team and voted on. Results will be posted roughly 1-2 weeks after the end of the submission deadline and appropriate awards given. Winners will be notified by Email. Awards will be given when the winner has responded via email or PM to claim their prize.

Gift certificate will be sent to you from Amazon via email. If you chose the donation option, your donation confirmation will be sent to you via email. Make sure you give the correct email address!
